Medicago Inc., a biotechnology company focused on developing highly effective and competitive vaccines based on proprietary manufacturing technologies and Virus-Like Particles, today announced that it has entered into a research collaboration agreement for the development of a non-influenza vaccine candidate with a top 10 global pharmaceutical company.
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) "is urging all countries to meet a global standard in the way they account for their health service spending," BMJ reports, adding, "In October the OECD, in collaboration with Eurostat and the World Health Organization, published what it describes as a 'monster of a manual' called A System of Health Accounts.

A team of researchers from the National University of Singapore (NUS) has uncovered the mystery behind the potent parasite-killing effect of artemisinin, a drug that is considered to be the last line of defence against malaria. Given the emergence of artemisinin resistance, these findings could potentially lead to the design of new treatments against drug-resistant parasites.
