This condition is commonly diagnosed using a complicated, invasive fluoroscopic evaluation, consisting of real-time, action images of the fallopian tubes to identify possible occlusions. In an effort to simplify this procedure and ease patient discomfort, Cook Medical today announced the availability of the FluoroSet, a comprehensive, three-product radiographic tubal assessment set designed to deliver fast, easy, accurate fluoroscopic evaluation results.

In experimental models, ATL1101 treatment significantly enhanced the tumor-suppressive effect of the cancer drug Paclitaxel. Paclitaxel is one of a class of drugs known as taxanes.

A hormone that helps to regulate blood sugar levels may also influence a person's sensitivity to sweet-tasting foods, according to a new study from researchers at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. They found that blocking the tongue's ability to respond to the hormone known as glucagon decreases the taste system's sensitivity to sweetness.
