In response to a new federal rule mandating smoke-free policies in federally funded public housing authorities, three public health experts applaud the efforts of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to protect nonsmoking residents from the harmful effects of tobacco exposure.
Amid the coronavirus global pandemic, it is still unclear which government measures are useful in curbing the spread of the virus. The majority of women who chose nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to manage labor pain, ultimately decide to have an epidural, according to new research presented at the ANESTHESIOLOGY 2016 annual meeting.
Shiriki Kumanyika, PhD, MPH, Professor of Epidemiology and Associate Dean for Health Promotion and Health Prevention, at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and Virginia A. Stallings, MD, PhD, the Jean A.
