An innovative use of focused ultrasound being pioneered at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is showing promise against glioblastoma, the deadliest brain tumor, and could prove useful against other difficult-to-treat cancers.
Researchers at the Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, say that small, one-person trampolines, intended for exercise, are not toys and because of the risk of injury, children should not be allowed to play on them.
Vicki Colvin of Rice University will give a talk titled "Nanotechnology: Its Promise and Challenges" at the U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory on Thursday, May 14, at 4 p.m. in Berkner Hall.
