Cellix Biosciences Inc., a development-stage pharmaceutical company, today announced successful completion of a Pre-Investigational New Drug meeting with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for the development of CLX-103, a novel molecular conjugate of mesalamine for the treatment of mild to moderate ulcerative colitis.
A small, retrospective study determined that percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) was safe in patients with significant coronary artery disease (CAD) who were referred for liver transplantation. Larger studies are needed to determine the effectiveness of angioplasty in patients with end-stage liver disease (ESLD).
Researchers at Yale School of Medicine and seven other national institutions are recruiting patients to participate in the Kronos Early Estrogen Prevention Study (KEEPS) to look at the effects of estrogen on heart disease prevention.
New research provides strong scientific evidence that long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) benefits a wider population of potential users than previously thought.
The Critical Path Institute, the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, TB Alliance, and St. George's, University of London, are pleased to announce the launch of the TB-Platform for Aggregation of Clinical TB Studies.
