Scientists in London have discovered a new genetic mechanism which helps cancer cells survive by changing the way they respond to treatment.
Kaiser Health News, in partnership with USA Today: "Starting tomorrow, adult children will no longer be left to fend for themselves in their search for health insurance. The new federal health law requires that insurers give parents the option of keeping their adult children covered until they're 26 years old. It becomes effective for the health policy at the beginning of the plan year.
Stem cell have been the main focus of healing therapy research because they can morph into new cells, and using a patient's own stem cells will not induce an autoimmune response. For healing after a heart attack, the ideal time to administer these therapies is when reopening the clogged blood vessel because the heart is easily accessible. While stem cells show promise for heart attack treatment, the process of harvesting and reintroducing the cells—which can take days or weeks—is too slow for this window.
There are 1.2 million Australians currently living with a communication disability, which can affect relationships, employment, education and social inclusion.
A half dozen University of Connecticut researchers are now working to identify potential new drugs to treat a wide range of diseases and conditions through a unique partnership that offers access to cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology and screening compounds at no cost.
