According to a recently released report, during a 6-month period, doctors treated six cases of severe eye injuries in young children, caused by their squeezing capsules containing liquid washing detergent.
United BioSource Corporation (UBC) today announced results from an independent survey that examined late phase product development services delivered by 34 contract research organizations and other scientific and medical affairs companies serving the biopharmaceutical industry. The report, titled 2010 Late Phase Market Dynamics and published by Industry Standard Research (ISR), provided data and analysis from a survey that captured information from 149 respondents, representing 95 companies.
Many terminally-ill patients cannot die at home because of a lack of services and training in palliative care, say researchers from the University of Warwick.
The DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson today announced that the company has signed a five-year cooperation agreement with the AO Foundation to continue the work they began together in 1960 to deliver world-class professional education and develop new innovations that improve patient outcomes and increase efficiency of care.
News outlets are considering the next moves for Texas' Women's Health Program after the federal government said it won't renew its funding for the program over the state's plan to cut off funding for Planned Parenthood.
