Human cremation is not at the top of most people's conversation starters and unless people have experienced bereavement they probably don't give the process a thought. It is a fact that some councils are running out of space for burials in urban cemeteries so cremation is the most common alternative.
A team of scientists at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel revealed that the ability to detect smells predicts recovery and long-term survival in patients who had a severe brain injury. The study, published in the journal Nature, shows that the simple "sniff test," which is inexpensive and convenient, could help doctors to diagnose and develop treatments for patients who have brain injuries and unconsciousness.
Approximately half of Americans living with colorectal cancer will develop liver metastases at some point during the course of their disease.
