Oculus Innovative Sciences, Inc., a commercial medical technology company that develops, manufactures and markets a family of products based upon the Microcyn® Technology platform, today announced that it has received new 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for new dermatology indications for Microcyn® Skin and Wound HydroGel.
A new review proposes a theory to explain how calorie restriction can extend life across a variety of species.
Researchers report that they have found a potential molecular cause for the aggressive growth and spread of human head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, a highly malignant form of cancer with a very high death rate.
Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is commonly associated with smell of rotten eggs, stink bombs and blocked drains but lower blood levels of the gas are possibly linked to cardiovascular complications in some male patients with type II diabetes, according to research recently presented by researchers at the Peninsula Medical School in the South West of England at the Annual Diabetes UK Professional Conference in Glasgow this week and published in Diabetic Medicine.
