Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, there have been reports in the professional literature on possible hearing loss caused by the disease. A new study from Tel Aviv University (TAU), in collaboration with the Galilee Medical Center, finds no evidence of damage to the auditory system as a result of COVID-19 infection.
A team of scientists from Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University together with their colleagues from NUST MISiS and RWTH Aachen University (Germany) compared different treatments against liver fibrosis and published the results of their study in the Cells journal.
The quality of the U.S. diet showed some modest improvement in the last decade in large measure because of a reduction in the consumption of unhealthy trans fats, but the gap in overall diet quality widened between the rich and the poor.
Researchers at the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre are attempting to create a better diagnostic test for radiation exposure after accidental exposures that potentially could save thousands of lives but also astronauts during long term space missions to Mars.
A tug-of-war between the two sides of the brain causes it to become asymmetrical, according to research published today in the journal Neuron.
