A team of researchers from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Army Health Research Center (CRESAR) in Cameroon have discovered two new retroviruses among central Africans who hunt nonhuman primates.
Officials at Maple Grove Hospital are pleased to announce that doctors, nurses and staff began seeing patients on Dec. 30, marking the opening of the first new hospital in the Twin Cities in a decade.
A new study of alcohol use in countries of all income levels shows that current use increases the risk of alcohol-related cancers and injury, with no reduction in risk of mortality or cardiovascular disease overall.
