Tranquil living environments can positively affect the human brain function, according to researchers at the University of Sheffield. The research, which was published in the journal NeuroImage, uses functional brain imaging to assess how the environment impacts upon our brain functions.

A study by global health service company Cigna Corporation (NYSE: CI) shows that individuals whose medical, behavioral and pharmacy health benefits are connected and administered by Cigna are more engaged in their health and well-being than those whose benefits are not fully integrated across medical, behavioral and pharmacy.
Scientists at The Scripps Research Institute have caught a cancer-causing mutation in the act. A new study shows how a gene mutation found in several human cancers, including leukemia, gliomas and melanoma, promotes the growth of aggressive tumors.
GlySens Incorporated announced today that it has secured FDA approval for extending the current human clinical evaluation of its fully implantable continuous glucose monitoring system (the ICGM System) from the originally approved six-month duration to the system's commercially-intended operational duration of twelve months.
