FDA announces new policy and regulatory developments to strengthen the Agency's oversight and protection of patients in clinical trials and the integrity of resulting data in an effort to modernize the agency's approach to bioresearch monitoring as part of the Critical Path Initiative.
For years, women have been told that weight gain could lead to heart disease. A new study indicates that it is the location of the fat that matters most, with abdominal fat representing the greatest harm and not overall body mass index when assessing risk for coronary artery disease.
Health ministers from 11 member states in the WHO's South East Asian region on Tuesday at the 62nd session of the WHO Regional Committee for South East Asia adopted the Kathmandu Declaration on Protecting Health Facilities from Disasters, which commits them to make health facilities better prepared for health emergencies, Republica reports.
The technology, developed by researchers at Imperial College London and The University of Hong Kong, can be used to measure hormones that affect fertility, sexual development and menstruation more quickly and cheaply than current methods.
A new research study carried out by The Research Partnership reveals that living with diabetes can have a major effect on people's lives, with just under half (44%) of type 2 patients reporting that the condition has impacted on either their ability or their desire to have sex.
