In a new, first-of-its-kind study, researchers from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine have found a 700-percent surge in infections caused by bacteria from the Enterobacteriaceae family resistant to multiple kinds of antibiotics among children in the US. This acquisition creates the largest orthopedic contract manufacturer in the world with 18 facilities located in five countries on three continents.
Targacept, Inc. announced today that it is offering to sell $75 million in shares of its common stock in an underwritten public offering. Targacept expects to grant the underwriters for the offering an option to purchase additional shares of common stock to cover over-allotments, if any.
Even as California prepares to expand vaccine eligibility on April 15 to all residents age 16 and up, the state has managed to inoculate only about half its senior population — the 65-and-older target group deemed most vulnerable to death and serious illness in the pandemic.
