Apricus announces publication of NexACT technology data in Pharmaceutics Journal

Undetected cancer among women undergoing gynecologic surgery more common than previously thought

However, power morcellation, a technique which cuts the uterus or fibroid into small pieces in order to extract them from the abdomen through a small incision, may worsen a woman's prognosis if a cancer is morcellated unintentionally.

Study shows mechanical treatment is as effective as manual chest compressive treatment

In the event of cardiac arrest outside of a hospital it is important to provide effective chest compressions without interruption. Creating blood flow reduces the risk of brain damage and improves the chances of survival. A new Swedish study shows that mechanical treatment yields results that are at least as good as manual treatment.

Odds of experiencing sexual aggression vastly greater when college women binge drink

According to researchers at the University at Buffalo's Research Institute on Addictions (RIA), the odds of 18- and 19-year-old college women experiencing sexual aggression are 19 times greater when they binge drink than when they don't drink.
