Some Hill races could hinge on seniors anger over Medicare

Reporting for Kaiser Health News in collaboration with USA Today, Marilyn Werber Serafini writes: "As emotions run high over the law, anger and fear about its impact on Medicare — whether founded or not — could be a deciding factor in some particularly close congressional races, especially in areas where there are large numbers of seniors, say political analysts such as Robert Blendon, professor of health policy and political analysis at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Record third-quarter fiscal 2009 results announced by Nu Skin Enterprises

Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. today announced record third-quarter revenue of $334.2 million, an 8 percent improvement over the prior-year period. Revenue in the period benefited 1 percent from foreign currency fluctuations. Earnings per share for the quarter were $0.40, a 54 percent improvement over the same quarter of 2008. Earnings per share, excluding restructuring charges of $0.01, were $0.41, a 58 percent improvement over the prior-year period.
