The I-SPY 2 TRIAL, a randomized phase II clinical trial for breast cancer launched through a unique partnership with the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) Biomarkers Consortium and sponsored by QuantumLeap Healthcare Collaborative has graduated the first two drugs from its innovative, multidrug standing platform trial.
It's Tuesday morning, and teacher Tamya Daly has her online class playing an alphabet game. The students are writing quickly and intently, with occasional whoops of excitement, on the little whiteboards she dropped off at their homes the day before along with coloring books, markers, Silly Putty and other learning props — all of which she created or paid for with her own money.
Researchers at the Institute of Materials Science of the Universitat de València, in consortium with various European companies and institutions, are developing a system based on photonic biosensors for rapid diagnosis of food allergies.
An increasing number of heart failure patients are treated with a number of complex devices, i.e. cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT). Recently completed and ongoing clinical trials such as MADIT-CRT and EchoCRT provide evidence of a growing number of CRT patients, in need of individualised treatment.
