Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company with fully integrated commercial and drug development operations with a primary focus in hematology and oncology, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has extended by five years the U.S. Patent No. 6,028,071, which covers FOLOTYN (pralatrexate injection).
The creation of a network of centres of reference and adopting measures that promote research and access to treatments are two key aspects for improving the prognosis of patients with soft tissue sarcoma (STS), an uncommon type of cancer that originates in the tissues that connect, support and surround other body structures, such as muscles, fat, blood vessels, nerves, tendons and lining of the joints.
A new study has found that vitamin A-biofortified orange maize significantly improves visual functions in children.
