Massey University design graduate Leon Oliver's ‘Sentinel' is designed to protect a crew member who has fallen overboard at sea. The user can climb into a raft, which has been remotely deployed from the vessel by the victim using an electronic watch. Researchers isolated single cells among individuals with and without prior infection with the SARS-CoV-2 vaccinated with BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine and compared the nature of the neutralizing antibody response against the original Wuhan virus and the subsequent variants.
While very little is known on the effects of immersive VR on adults, there is next to no knowledge on the impact of such systems on the sensorimotor abilities of young children.
Researchers at Queen's University Belfast are taking the first step towards discovering the true effectiveness of brain training exercises with the release of their own app aimed at those over 50.
