As Neutra Corp. works to deliver new innovations to the U.S. medical marijuana industry, the market for those innovations continues to grow. Last week, lawmakers passed a bill to make New Hampshire the 19th state to approve medical marijuana prescriptions for patients with chronic or terminal illnesses.
Linden LLC, a Chicago-based healthcare focused private equity firm, today announced that it has successfully completed fundraising for Linden Capital Partners II, which closed with $375 million of committed capital and exceeded its target of $300 million and initial cap of $350 million.
Using a technique called proteomics, the researchers identified many of the blood proteins that stick (adsorb) to the surfaces of medical devices. Blood proteins that adsorb to the surfaces of materials unfold and can be recognized by the body, which then mounts a response against the device.
Hepatic artery thrombosis, which is the most common vascular complication after living donor liver transplantation, can result in graft loss and devastating consequences.
