Cancer Therapeutics, a company focused on translating cancer biology research into novel treatments for cancer, today announced positive preclinical results for CTX-0294945 as an adjuvant therapy to the cancer drug Avastin (bevacizumab - Genentech/Roche). The data is presented today in a late breaking poster at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting 2012 in Chicago, USA.
Michael French suffered from a rare form of dementia. It made him do unwise things like throwing away tax documents, getting a ticket for trying to pass an ambulance and buying stock in companies that were obviously in trouble. He seemed withdrawn and no longer spoke to his wife over dinner. He also lost his job at the consulting firm. This happened in 2006. His wife found he had changed suddenly from the smart, good-natured, hardworking man and was considering divorce when his ailment came into the picture.
The FY11 proposed budget Governor Quinn released on March 10, 2010 includes unacceptable cuts to human services – totaling $276 million. These cuts fall on the most vulnerable in our state – seniors, people with mental illness and disabilities, victims of violence, and children. Such cuts will harm individuals and families, result in the loss of jobs across Illinois and further weaken our state's economy.
A new study could point the way to the development of better drugs to fight a deadly form of childhood leukemia called mixed-lineage leukemia (MLL).
Cyanotech Corporation has received an Export Achievement Certificate Award from the US Department of Commerce. The award is determined by the Hawaii Export Assistance Center of the department. It was presented by Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle, together with John Holman, Director of the Hawaii Export Assistance Center, U.S. Department of Commerce, at the Hawaii State Capitol in Honolulu.
