Researchers at the University of Oxford have conducted a study of UK healthcare workers showing how antibody responses to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection can wane over time, depending on age, previous symptoms and ethnicity.
Critical Path Institute's (C-Path) Patient-Reported Outcome (PRO) Consortium announces that clinical study results using the Consortium's Diary for Irritable Bowel Syndrome Symptoms-Constipation (DIBSS-C) were recently included in the expanded label for the drug LINZESS® (linaclotide).
The Maillard reaction is a chemical reaction between amino acids and reducing sugars that results in browned foods like seared steaks and toasted bread. When proteins and sugars are mixed together and heated, new chemical compounds are formed. Some are responsible for new flavors and some, according to a new study published in the Journal of Dairy Science, may protect us against cardiovascular disease.
