Residents in Toronto, Canada will soon have a new way of testing the air quality in their city.
The objective of the survey was two-sided. On one side, we wanted to better understand needs, concerns and attitudes of people with UC in an effort to identify solutions to improve the management of the disease. On the other, we wanted to build a questionnaire that could be used by HCPs to help define patients' needs and concerns.
Republicans on Thursday vowed to repeal the health care law after the Supreme Court ruling affirming the constitutionality of the law and are planning a repeal vote in the House on July 11. In the meantime, some states, including Georgia for instance, will hold off on implementing key parts of the law to see if the GOP is successful.
As a solution evaporates, the dissolved chemicals concentrate until they begin forming a crystal through a process called nucleation
Researchers at McGill University have discovered that a key regulator of energy metabolism in cancer cells known as the AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) may play a crucial role in restricting cancer cell growth. AMPK acts as a "fuel gauge" in cells; AMPK is turned on when it senses changes in energy levels, and helps to change metabolism when energy levels are low, such as during exercise or when fasting.
