Celldex Therapeutics, Inc. today reported financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2011. Celldex reported a net loss of $11.8 million, or $0.27 per share, for the third quarter of 2011 compared to a net loss of $9.1 million, or $0.28 per share, for the third quarter of 2010.
Islamic Relief USA, a Washington, D.C.-based relief and development organization, today announced that it has increased its fundraising goal for the Pakistan flood victims to $4 million due to the worsening conditions in the region. It has also collected more than $23 million in in-kind donations.
Emergency departments, which have suffered shortfalls in reimbursement for decades due to the high rate of uninsurance in the United States, may begin receiving "considerably more" reimbursement once the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare) is fully implemented.
