A PROMINENT North Professor will play a pivotal role in driving forward the vision of the Northern Health Science Alliance as she joins the leading life science cluster's board.
Patients with schizophrenia and their unaffected relatives show significant cortical thinning compared with mentally healthy individuals without such a family history, researchers report.
WHO reported there were 4 additional suspected cases. Three out of the four suspects were relatives of the 20-year-old nurse and the fourth suspect is a male patient who stayed in the same ward.
Humans have the same receptors for detecting odors related to sex as do other apes and primates. But each species uses them in different ways, stemming from the way the genes for these receptors have evolved over time, according to Duke University researchers.
The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak has sparked fear and panic since it started to spread in late December 2019. Now, the number of infections has topped over 80,000, with more than 2,699 deaths reported in just two months. Though the number of cases dwindled in mainland China, this is not the case in other parts of the world.
