In a promising development for cancer patients in the New York metropolitan area, the Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Medical Center Department of Radiation Medicine announced today that it will acquire an innovative new system called TrueBeam that offers a radically different approach to treating cancer with image-guided radiotherapy.
