A questionnaire of Swiss schoolchildren has revealed the extent of truancy and school fear. The research, published in BioMed Central's open access journal Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Mental Health, links truancy and school fear to life events, parental behaviour and school environment.
Researchers duo Emma Derbyshire and Joanne Delange from the Nutritional Insight, Surrey, United Kingdom, explore the role of immunonutrition – nutrition that boosts or influences the immune system for those over 65 years of age in COVID-19. Their study titled, "COVID-19: is there a role for immunonutrition, particularly in the over 65s?," was released in the latest issue of the BMJ Nutrition, Prevention and Health.
Within many hormone-receptor positive breast cancers lives a subpopulation of receptor-negative cells - knock down the hormone-receptor positive cells with anti-estrogen drugs and you may inadvertently promote tumor takeover by more dangerous, receptor-negative cells.
Chemical analysis of blood samples, combined with an artificial intelligence program, could speed up the diagnosis of brain tumors, according to research presented at the 2019 NCRI Cancer Conference.
