A research team led by scientists from UCL have found a way to assess the viability of 'manufactured' stem cells known as induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). Published today in Nature Communications, the team's discovery offers a new way to fast-track screening methods used in stem cell research.
New study findings link traveling to an academic medical center for surgical removal of pancreatic or thyroid cancer with higher quality surgical care for both cancers, and longer survival for patients with pancreatic cancer compared with patients who receive treatment at a hospital closer to home.
Researchers in Romania, the UK, and Canada have systematically reviewed the evidence available on the transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) aboard aircraft.
