Approximately 500 000 Norwegians suffer from chronic sleep disorders, also called insomnia. Researchers have long known that cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia is the best documented treatment, but few people have access to such therapy.
The overall percentage of people who think getting a financial incentive would be extremely or very useful for choosing a more effective treatment decreased from 61 percent in 2009 to 55 percent in 2010, according to new report released today by the nonpartisan Employee Benefit Research Institute (EBRI).
New research coauthored by Brigham Young University researchers may lead to a more accurate system for early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of prostate cancer.
A biomedical engineering professor at Binghamton University, State University of New York has received a $2.4 million grant to develop a faster, less painful way to diagnose malignant solitary pulmonary nodules (SPNs).
