Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc., has announced that it submitted a supplemental New Drug Application (sNDA) for AndroGel (testosterone gel) 1% CIII to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treatment in male adolescents ages 13-17 years old with primary or secondary hypogonadism.
Eisai Inc. and Helsinn Group today announced the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of ALOXI (palonosetron HCl) injection for the prevention of acute nausea and vomiting associated with initial and repeat courses of emetogenic cancer chemotherapy, including highly emetogenic cancer chemotherapy, in children aged 1 month to less than 17 years.
A computer-based diabetes simulation tool developed by University of Virginia researchers is now commercially available, thanks to a partnership with the Charlottesville-based medical research firm The Epsilon Group. The simulator is the only protocol that has been accepted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as an alternative to animal testing of Type 1 diabetes control strategies.
