According to a new study published on November 8, 2019, in The Lancet Global Health, a universal diet designed to keep both humans and the earth in good shape has one fatal flaw – more than 1.5 billion people, mostly in the developing world, would have to spend more than they earn to buy that kind of food.
T cells from patients with melanoma can trigger a protective immune response against the disease according to a new study out of University Hospitals Case Medical Center Seidman Cancer Center and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.
"Since my diagnosis, I had been immersed in a crash course in real-world medical ethics," writes Rebecca Dresser, editor of Malignant: Medical Ethicists Confront Cancer, published by Oxford University Press. She and five other bioethicists discuss their personal experiences with cancer or caring for loved ones with the disease, with lessons for doctors and nurses, patients, and caregivers.
