Within a comprehensive health insurance system, black and Hispanic children appear more likely than white children to have asthma and their outcomes are often worse, according to a report posted online today that will appear in the August print issue of Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, one of the JAMA/Archives journals.
A group of committed AIDS activists and advocates are expected to participate in a protest and "die-in" hosted by AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) Friday, September 30th at 12:30 pm near the New Brunswick headquarters of Johnson & Johnson to protest the company's pricing of its HIV/AIDS medications.
Health Robotics announced that its joint-venture Health Robotics Canada Inc. (HRCI), a leading Canadian Pharmaceutical Company, and a well-established Quebec-based Medical Device Technology company have all recently signed marketing agreements in order to expand into Canada the market presence of i.v.STATION and i.v.SOFT, revolutionary technologies that provide automated sterile compounding of intravenous medications and parenteral nutrition to hospitals.
On Monday a 44 year old man from Marian west of Mackay, called an ambulance after he developed heart problems. The paramedics reached his home more than an hour later to find him dead. The man called an ambulance at 1.31pm (AEST) on Monday but the Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) said paramedics did not arrive until 2.46pm.
After major global successes in the battle against malaria, the positive trend stalled around 2015 - apart from in Zanzibar in East Africa, where only a fraction of the disease remains.
