Laser-based fabrication method reduces costs for cancer screening and research

Study: IL-2 monotherapy not effective as maintenance therapy for acute myeloid leukemia

EpiCept Corporation announced today the publication of a new meta-analysis which concluded that interleukin-2 (IL-2) monotherapy is not effective as a maintenance therapy for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patients in first complete remission. These results were published in the July 7, 2011 edition of Blood, a leading scientific journal in hematology.

Osiris Therapeutics completes enrollment in Prochymal MSC therapy Phase II trial for type 1 diabetes

Osiris Therapeutics, Inc. today announced that it has achieved a $750,000 milestone payment from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) for completing enrollment in a Phase II clinical trial evaluating Prochymal, an adult mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) therapy, as a treatment for patients recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. The milestone is the fourth in a series of payments resulting from JDRF's partnership with Osiris for the development of a therapy for type 1 diabetes.
