High carbohydrate regime may counter effects of sleep deprivation among athletes
Getting enough sleep is an essential part of any athlete's training programme, but a study in the Journal of Sports Sciences reveals intensive bouts of exercise can make it hard to get 40 winks. Suspecting that intense exercise can lead to sleep disturbance, scientists from Loughborough University studied the effects of two nine day periods of heavy training on 13 highly trained cyclists.

Pivotal study of dasotraline in adults with binge eating disorder meets primary endpoint
Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. today announced that a study evaluating the efficacy and safety of dasotraline in adults with moderate to severe binge eating disorder met its primary endpoint, demonstrating a statistically significant decrease in number of binge days per week from baseline to Week 12 in the group treated with dasotraline 6 mg/day versus the placebo-treated group.
