EndoChoice, Inc. announced today that it has acquired Pathworks Anatomic Pathology Laboratory. Founded in 1989, Pathworks is a College of American Pathologists (CAP) accredited national reference laboratory located in Atlanta, GA. Robert Smith, MD, founder of the laboratory, will assume the Medical Director position of EndoChoice Pathology, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EndoChoice, Inc.
New research by academics at the University of Bristol has found evidence that prolonged treatment of synthetic corticosteroid drugs increases adrenal gland inflammation in response to bacterial infection, an effect that in the long-term can damage adrenal function.
The act and victimization of bullying continues to be a problem among today's youth. While many children are experiencing this form of violence, it is more prevalent in children that are different from the social norm.

Gazette report: "The cost of war - on veterans' health and taxpayer wallets - will loom a little larger in the new year when the Department of Veterans Affairs issues a final rule to claim adjudicators to presume three more diseases of Vietnam veterans, including heart disease, were caused by exposure to Agent Orange.
