The team discovered that when e-readers are set up to display only a few words per line, some people with dyslexia can read more easily, quickly and with greater comprehension. Their findings are published in the Sept. 18 issue of the journal PLOS ONE.
Emisphere Technologies, Inc. today announced that a clinical study found that the company's proprietary oral SNAC (Sodium N-[8-(2-hydroxybenzoyl) Amino] Caprylate ("SNAC") additive, in combination with two digestive hormones, was successful in reducing food intake and increasing satiety in healthy male subjects.
An inflammatory factor already linked to several diseases, including pulmonary disease, lung cancer, and arthritis, may also be responsible for the insulin resistance that comes with obesity, according to a new study published in the April issue of Cell Metabolism.
