Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ALNY), a leading RNAi therapeutics company, announced today that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has granted an Orphan Drug Designation to ALN-AT3 as a therapeutic for the treatment of hemophilia B.
The Washington Post: "An appeals court ruled Thursday that the federal government can resume funding human embryonic stem cell research while the court reviews a judge's order that had temporarily prohibited such funding. A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit granted a request from the Justice Department to lift a temporary injunction issued Aug. 23 blocking the funding on the grounds that it violated a law barring funding any research that involves the destruction of human embryos.
In keeping with the global effort to limit the spread of the Swine Flu, the California Dental Hygienists' Association (CDHA) issued a list today of simple ways patients and oral health professionals can prevent catching and spreading the disease.
Kewaunee Scientific Corporation today announced that it had been awarded a turnkey contract of approximately $13 million for the prestigious New Shell Technology Centre in Bangalore, India.
