Researchers have made a significant advance in the understanding of the hepatitis C virus (HCV) by identifying new genetic factors associated with clearing the virus spontaneously without the necessity for additional treatment.
The Cryogenic Institute of New England, Inc. is pleased to announce the completed transition to 78 Chilmark Street, Worcester, MA 01604. The new facility is located just off of Shrewsbury Street in Worcester. The new facility boasts nearly 5,000 square feet of total area, allowing the Cryogenic Institute to expand its operations.
A new MR imaging sequence, T2-weighted BLADE, used to image the female pelvis improves image quality and helps radiologists make a more accurate diagnosis, according to a study performed at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD.
"At least 100 relief workers in Afghanistan have been killed so far this year, far more than in any previous year, prompting a debate within humanitarian organizations about whether American military strategy is putting them and the Afghans they serve at unnecessary risk. ... Has American counterinsurgency strategy militarized the delivery of aid?" the New York Times writes looking at the different perspectives in this debate.
