The Medicare program could be paying multiple times for prescription drugs for hospice beneficiaries, a new federal report suggests.
The Center for Global Health Policy's "Science Speaks" blog "continues to look at changes in Washington's global health leadership in the wake of November's election," writing, "While Sen. Dick Durbin [D-Ill.], who played a pivotal role in PEPFAR's creation, leaves the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, two new Democratic members, as announced Wednesday, will join the committee which directs foreign aid."
Without timely reversal, opioid overdose causes respiratory depression that may deteriorate into apnea, leading to brain injury and even death.
Working to expand access of state-of-the-art medical imaging to underdeveloped regions around the world, GE Global Research, the technology development arm for the General Electric Company, has been awarded a four-year, $3.27 million award from National Institutes of Health (NIH) to develop new magnet technology that will make MRI systems less costly and easier to site.
