A new study aimed to identify several potent neutralizing RBD-directed and NTD-directed mAbs that used a nanoparticle displaying the S glycoprotein to capture SARS-CoV-2-specific B cells.
Medics at the RUB have found the cause of hereditary, progressive blindness: they have identified the previously unknown protein CCDC66, the loss of which initially leads to night blindness and in due course usually results in complete blindness.
Patients with "masked" hypertension that is not detected by routine office blood pressure measurements appear to have stroke and death rates similar to that of patients with sustained high blood pressure; whereas patients with so-called "white coat" hypertension appear to have no greater risk than people with normal blood pressure, according to a new study in the Aug. 2, 2005, issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
A historic rise in high-deductible health insurance plans has US hospitals struggling to give newly price-conscious patients an accurate estimate of their share of healthcare costs.
