Ingen Technologies, Inc., a medical device manufacturer with an emerging new medical product line targeting the $8B respiratory market, announced today that the company's strategic government contract consultant, KGMA Business Solutions, has scheduled two major tradeshows for August and September, 2010.
As the New Year rolls in, many people will be looking to better themselves by resolving to lose weight, quit smoking and manage stress. Sticking to resolutions for more than a few weeks, however, is a lofty task that takes a great deal of motivation and even lifestyle changes.
The study, conducted by a team of more than 200 scientists from 100 institutions worldwide, measured the size of the brain and its memory centers in thousands of MRI images from 21,151 healthy people while simultaneously screening their DNA. According to the researchers, a variant in a gene called HMGA2 affected the brain size, as well as a person's intelligence.
Resverlogix Corp. today announced that it has entered into a $25 million Loan Agreement with Citibank, N.A.. Resverlogix received the $25 million upon closing of the loan.
New research from the University of California, San Diego Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology, shows that the anti-rejection drug sirolimus (brand name Rapamune) may help prolong the clinical benefit of transplanted kidneys and delay rejection, especially in patients who do not regularly take their prescribed medications (are "non-compliant"). While the transplant field has been highly successful at reducing rejection and graft loss in the first year, post-transplant, reducing risk for graft rejection in the long-term has proved more difficult.
