Aeterna Zentaris Inc. today announced that final Phase 2 data demonstrated that the combination of perifosine, its oral AKT inhibitor, and sorafenib, was well tolerated by heavily pretreated patients with relapsed/refractory lymphomas.

Victoria Vrana, senior program officer on the Charitable Sector Support team at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, writes in the foundation's "Impatient Optimists" blog that "comprehensive sources of hard data on the issues, the solutions, and the organizations working to meet the tough challenges of our time" would assist donors, "non-profits and [non-governmental organizations (NGOs)], media, policymakers, and most importantly, beneficiaries of services" to make decisions that would improve investment results.
According to a research abstract that will be presented on Wednesday, June 10, at SLEEP 2009, the 23rd Annual Meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies, getting more high-quality sleep is associated with better academic performance.
