Updated results from a Phase Ib/II clinical trial indicates that a novel therapeutic agent for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is highly active and well tolerated in patients who have relapsed and are resistant to other therapy.
A bioelectronic medicine device was effective in reducing pain and fatigue in patients with lupus, according to Feinstein Institute for Medical Research Professor Cynthia Aranow, MD, who will present pilot clinical trial results Tuesday at the American College of Rheumatology/Association of Rheumatology Professional's Annual Meeting.
Antibodies that help to stop the HIV virus have been found in breast milk. Researchers at Duke University Medical Center isolated the antibodies from immune cells called B cells in the breast milk of infected mothers in Malawi, and showed that the B cells in breast milk can generate neutralizing antibodies that may inhibit the virus that causes AIDS.
