An increased number of physicians visited Web sites that promote brand-name prescription drugs during the first six months of 2006 to seek information about dosages and side effects, according to a recent Manhattan Research study, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
A new study by University of Cincinnati (UC) nephrologists shows that most dialysis patients admitted to long-term care hospitals face readmission to acute care facilities, and those with acute kidney failure don't often recover full kidney function.

But a new Northwestern Medicine study - one of the largest survivor studies ever conducted - shows many survivors still suffer moderate to severe problems with pain, fatigue, sleep, memory and concentration three to five years after treatment has ended.
On behalf of the more than 53,000 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists has released an official statement, titled "CRNAs: We are the Answer" " which highlights evidenced-based analysis of CRNAs, physician anesthesiologists, and anesthesiologist assistants in today's healthcare system.
