CANCER RESEARCH UK scientists have found that the body's surveillance for cancer causing damage and its response to allergies share a common pathway, according to research published in Science on Thursday.
The Global Alliance for TB Drug Development and AstraZeneca announced today at the 2010 BIO International Convention that they have entered into a research collaboration agreement to accelerate the discovery, development and clinical use of drugs against tuberculosis, including drug resistant strains of the disease.
Mayo Clinic researchers in Rochester, Minnesota, collaborated with the University of Mississippi Medical Center on a recent study, "Troponin T as a Predictor of End-Stage Renal Disease and All-Cause Death in African-American and Whites From Hypertensive Families." For the first time, this study identified the presence of a specific protein in the blood used to look for heart damage.
MedAssets, Inc. today announced that it has signed a long-term agreement to deliver its transformational revenue cycle solutions to Saint Barnabas Health Care System (SBHCS), the largest integrated health care delivery system in New Jersey. MedAssets will provide revenue cycle process reengineering services, powered by the continued deployment of web-based software and execution of ongoing primary accounts receivable billing and follow-up services.
