Scientists at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital-The Neuro, McGill University, have made important discoveries about a cellular process that occurs during normal brain development and may play an important role in neurodegenerative diseases.
More than 100 million people in this country have pain that won't go away. Many of these chronic pain sufferers fail to get relief from pills, shots and even surgery, while others temporarily trade the pain for side effects such as drowsiness or digestive problems.
ECPI College of Technology announces that it is now ECPI University. The name change reflects the diversity of programs and various levels of education provided by the university.
The Regence Foundation unveiled its signature philanthropic program today, Sojourns, to foster best practices, leadership and collaboration that help people with life-threatening and incurable illness to access quality palliative care in their own community. The Foundation also announced its first Sojourns grant to OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital for its Bridges pediatric palliative care program.
