Finland has made its first specific commitment to the development of European biomedical research infrastructures (BMS ESFRIs) by supporting a joint pilot infrastructure project in bioinformatics (ELIXIR), biobanking (BBMRI) and translational research (EATRIS). The initial commitment of 1.85 M- is to support preparation and pilot studies in 2010.

Enteric-coated aspirin is less potent than plain aspirin, which may make it less effective in preventing heart disease, according to a preliminary small study presented today at the American Heart Association's 5th Annual Conference on Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology.
Nanobiotix, announced today that the Independent Data Monitoring Committee (IDMC) has reviewed the data of the first 6 patients treated in the phase I Study with the lead product NBTXR3 for the treatment of advanced Soft Tissue Sarcoma of the extremity. Based on the review of the safety data, the IDMC has unanimously recommended continuing the enrollment in the study according to the protocol. This trial is realized in the Institut Gustave Roussy, France.
