Researchers at the University of Southampton are to study the use of Chinese Herbal Medicines in treating recurrent urinary tract infections (RUTIs), in the first clinical trial of its kind in the UK.

Patients with COPD show improvements in lung function with olodaterol

Data from the olodaterol Phase 3 clinical program, presented for the first time at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Annual Congress 2013 in Barcelona, showed the addition of olodaterol 5 and 10 µg delivered once daily via the Respimat® inhaler provided improvements in lung function in patients with moderate to very severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Aryx Therapeutics to raise up to $35 million from sale of its common stock

ARYx Therapeutics, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, today announced that it has secured a committed equity financing facility under which it may sell up to $35 million of shares of its common stock to Commerce Court Small Cap Value Fund, Ltd. ("Commerce Court") over a 24 month period. The maximum number of shares that can be sold by ARYx is specified in the agreement.
