Clinical trials are underway to test an azithromycin-based combination treatment for pregnant women, "which could tackle some of the leading preventable causes of death for babies in sub-Saharan Africa," according to researchers from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), who published a report on Wednesday in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
The Canadian Association of Radiation Oncology (CARO), along with international medical-technology group Elekta, are pleased to award the 2009 CARO-Elekta Research Fellowship to Radiation Oncologist, Dr. David Palma.
Attorney Ervin A. Gonzalez, partner at the Coral Gables-based law firm Colson Hicks Eidson, filed a wrongful death complaint in the 11th Judicial Circuit Court in Miami-Dade County on behalf of the family of the late Dr. Malcolm Lloyd, passenger in the Lamborghini that was involved in a fatal car crash on April 24th on MacArthur Causeway.
