Teva Pharmaceutical Industries, Ltd. announced today that Copaxone® (glatiramer acetate injection), has now achieved one million patient years of experience in the treatment of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). This analysis is based on internal data submitted annually to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
The Female Health Company today announced that on June 1, 2010, the U.S. Patent office issued patent number U.S. 7,726,316 B1 for its second generation product, the FC2 Female Condom. In addition to the newly issued U.S. patent, Spain, Greece and Turkey recently issued patents on the FC2 Female Condom.
The researchers detail 19 patients who all required emergency care in 2002 after eating local Turkish honey. The patients, whose ages ranged from 22 to 61, all had symptoms of nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure, slowed heart rate and fainting. Four of them had also sustained head injuries after falling.
Four in five businesses (79%) that now provide retiree health benefits will accept government subsidies for continuing to provide retiree drug coverage at least as good as Medicare's coverage when the new drug benefit starts in 2006, according to a new survey of 300 of the nation's largest private-sector employers conducted by the Kaiser Family Foundation and Hewitt Associates.
The Wall Street Journal reports that, even though businesses with fewer than 50 employers are exempt from the health law's most stringent requirements, they still face challenges.
